Initial Concept Design

The Green Line Corridor would connect the city's eastern edge with Ivy Tech, with service seven days a week. The service would speed up travel through more frequent service, a more direct path, and potentially supportive bus priority infrastructure.

Service

The Green Line would provide service seven days a week.

On weekdays, the service would operate at least every 15 minutes for at least 14 hours. On weekends, the service would operate at least every 30 minutes for at least 10 hours.

Corridor Design

The route in this study would follow 3rd Street, Patterson St, and 2nd Street through most of the corridor.

The stations in this study would serve colleges, local businesses, and housing.

The study is considering routing options through downtown and the IU campus:

Between W 2nd Street and W 3rd Street

  • Via S Rogers Street

  • Via S Walnut Street (northbound) and S Washington Street (southbound)

Between Dunn Street and S High Street

  • Via E 3rd Street (eastbound and westbound)

  • Via E 3rd Street (westbound) and E Atwater Avenue (eastbound, returning to E 3rd Street via either S Mitchell Street or S High Street)
